Reading and Writing
Our reading classes are rigorous and incorporate a weekly paper. Recent books for our high school section included: the Secret Sharer, Beowulf (Seamus Heaney translation), and Hamlet Our specialty is the five paragraph essay, which serves as the basic template for learning how to expand one’s writing skills into research papers, theses, and creative writing.
SSAT, ISEE (Secondary School Admissions)
Depending on which entrance exam a select private school requires, a student will take an appropriate diagnostic. Most preparation is individualized. Weekly tests are administered to ensure the student attains his or her best performance.
Mathematics
These courses focus on the key problem areas at each level, and then provide challenging instruction on the underlying mathematical concepts from basic math to calculus.
Private Tutoring
