Senior Year Academic Planning

Make a final list of colleges; try to narrow the list to true fits.
Register in September for the ACT or SAT I. This will be another opportunity to raise your scores from the Springtime, junior year, administration.
Understand the timeline/deadlines of the colleges you're applying to and create a schedule.
Evaluate your transcript in relation to your target school requisites and compare how you match up with students at these colleges.
Begin Personal Resume Development and determine the original elements for strong resumes.
Determine the best choices to write your Letters of Recommendation.
Begin in-depth Essay Planning (organizing and clustering).
On-going review of essays for organization, cohesion and mechanics.
Set and prepare for college interviews. The more specific you are (knowing your major, understanding their departments, discussing specific works by their professors) the more successful these interviews will be.
Follow up to the process: write thank you notes to all teachers, alumni, college and guidance councelors and friends that assisted your efforts to reach your goal.
After Admission: Plan to attend all Freshman orientation events for your college of choice.
